Terms of use

This is an informational translation. The Turkish version is legally binding.

By becoming a member of ompcity.com or using the site, you accept these terms. If the terms change, members are notified by email.

Membership

  • You must be at least 13 to become a member; if you're under 18, you need your parent's or guardian's consent.
  • Your account is personal. Don't share your password with anyone; you're responsible for what's done with your account.
  • Artist, producer and label/manager accounts are opened with the editors' approval. Opening an account in someone else's name or posing as someone else is forbidden; if detected, the account is closed.

Rules for comments and ratings

Rap is the language of the street; slang is fine. But the following is forbidden:

  • Insults, threats, humiliation and attacks on personal rights targeting a person
  • Degradation based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation or disability
  • Sharing personal information (address, phone number, private messages)
  • Spam, advertising, inflating or deflating ratings with fake accounts
  • Content that incites crime or is otherwise unlawful

Comments go through an automatic filter and, where needed, AI-assisted classification; the final decision belongs to a moderator. Content that breaks the rules is removed; repeat offences lead to the account being restricted or closed.

The Tea and claims

Stories in The Tea are insider information; unverified ones are published with a “Claim” label and their source. The “Believe it” and “Cap” votes show readers' opinions and don't prove whether the information is true. If you believe content written about you has harmed you, you can submit a takedown request.

Content rights

You're responsible for the comments you write. You grant OMPCITY the right to display your comments with your name on the site and on OMPCITY's social media accounts. The articles, design and statistical compilations on the site belong to OMPCITY and may not be copied without credit. Track covers and artist images belong to their rights holders.

Advertising and partnerships

Sponsored content, promotion and artist features are always shown with an “Ad” or “Partnership” label. Exchange numbers and listener ratings are never changed for money.

Liability

The streaming numbers on The Exchange are compiled from sources such as Spotify and YouTube; they're shown with their source and date and may contain errors. The site is provided “as is”; uninterrupted operation isn't guaranteed.
